Just Doodling

Most kids like to doodle. After taking college classes, I learned that it really IS okay to let kids doodle during a lesson. They often are able to pay attention better to what's being taught that way. (Especially those with extra challenges, like ADHD, etc.) So while we were reading a story as a family before bed the other night and snackin' on carrots, Hanna shows me this:

I didn't realize she had taken a picture of it too, until I downloaded them onto the computer today. But I'm glad she did, because that will be fun to remember. So, was she really listening to the story we were reading, or was another one on her mind? Who knows??!!! It made ME laugh though. "Veggie Tales! Veggie Tales!" We DO love those Veggie Tales around this here place.

And I'm still gonna let my kids, and students in classes I teach continue to doodle.

Your kids are too fun. They just bring a smile to my face. You will have to do an update on Troy's vacation essentials purchases! :)
